some people just can't grow up....



Nora and Austin rocket down the covered spiral slide...



Nora's lithe instincts take over- feet stretch one direction, tail stretches the opposite... Austin holds his position...



Nora struggles to maintain her balance- but it is a losing battle.  We see a smiling Mr. Incredible begin to emerge...



And there we have it- the red, covered, spiral slide has claimed two more victims... and the moral fo the story: sometimes you just have to kick your feet up at whatever life throws your way!

What's Wrong With this Picture?


As the temperature in Ramona reached 105 F, Austin and I (and Nora Nora too) headed down to the San Diego bay.  My brother was practicing his kayaking skills (learning how to roll over in the water, get back in if you fall out, etc) with my Uncle Todd- the King of Kayak... so we enjoyed the cooler temperatures, the ocean breeze, and the chance to paddle around a little too.

But before we got our feet wet (and actually a whole lot more of us too) I captured this picture:

mysterious uncle leroy...

He doesn't have a computer...

...but he still uses a rotary phone in his home.

He drove on old highways for several days to get to SoCal...

...but would not set foot on one of those 'metal birds...those air-o-planes.'

He loves fishing...

...but comments snidely about 'the cee-ment pond in the backyard.'
