old photos, new looks, sad news...

This is a photo from one of my Romania trips last year.  I hadn't really noticed it before- just a bunch of American team members loitering on a busy street corner.  But then I found this great resource for photoshop and blog users.  After downloading a few textures and actions, this kind of boring photos suddenly became kind of interesting.... I wonder what the kid is thinking with all these American girls in matching t-shirts standing around his shopping street?

You might have noticed the blog looks a little different.  I'm still playing around with different formats- trying to see what looks best and is easiest to read/view photos.  Please feel free to leave your thoughts on formatting in the comment section.

I guess that's it.  Its been a sad week.  From natural disasters a world away to a horrifying kidnapping/murder that happened down the street to just dealing with a very persistent cold, I've had a lot on my mind but not a clear desire to express any of it here.  Perhaps we'll get into some of those things later, but perhaps not.  For now, please enjoy the photo, tell me what you think about blog layouts... and know how much I appreciate when you do comment!

  3. Thanks guys!
Fung's- that website is a great resource- I've spent three days this week playing with some of the actions and textures available for photoshop there!
R&M- yeah, I'm not sure about the left side column... I'd kind of like to have 3 columns but I want to post larger photos... so I'm space-challenged....we'll see how long this format lasts ;)
